Washburne Lunch

Lunch is served each school day at Washburne School. Quest Food Management Services, Inc. is the dining services and hospitality management provider for the Carleton Washburne cafeteria, they offer multiple options for entrees and sides for students each school day. 

On this webpage you will be able to:

  2. Make a payment on your student’s meal account through MyMealTime. Please note that the only way to pay for school lunch is funding the student lunch account through MyMealTime. Cash is not accepted.

    Quest is a locally owned and operated business founded in 1985. They provide the following:
  • Scratch-Made, Assemble-to-Order Food-Food will be prepared from scratch and assembled-to-order to meet student's individual dining wishes and restrictions. Quest
    offers a delicious assortment of wholesome, hearty dining options and has experience serving these in environments similar to ours.
  • Localized Program Approach - Quest's entrepreneurial, customized approach will allow the program to be tailored to our community's needs, driven by frequent focus groups and surveys involving students and the community.
  • New Menus- Featuring more choices, seasonal and regionally-available ingredients, local and global food concepts, as well as a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
  • Responsibly Sourced Food-Sourcing of milk that is local and free of added growth hormones.trans-fat free oils and non-GMO soy oil, sustainable seafood, USDA-certified proteins and offering fair trade and rainforest alliance coffees and teas.

Lunch may be provided to some students qualifying for assistance based on their household income. More information on lunch assistance can be found here.

PTO Sponsored Lunch Program:  Grades K-6

Four of our schools (Crow Island, Greeley, Hubbard Woods, and Skokie) do not have building kitchens and, therefore, students bring lunch from home.  In the alternative, parents/guardians may choose to order lunch through an optional program administered by the Winnetka Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). 

For additional information about the PTO lunch program, please see each building’s PTO’s website which can be accessed through the Central PTO’s webpage.  Please also note:

  • This program is not operated or sponsored by the School District.  Rather, the program is administered by the PTO, as a convenience for families and as a fundraising opportunity for the PTO.
  • Currently, the PTO contracts with Marla’s Lunch, a vendor that provides food delivery services.  Through the PTO and Marla’s Lunch, food may be ordered from various local restaurants for delivery by Marla’s Lunch.
  • Food delivered by Marla’s Lunch is either distributed to students immediately or placed in warming drawers purchased by the PTO and located at each school.
  • Because the District does not contract with Marla’s Lunch or administer the Marla’s Lunch program, questions about the program should be directed to the PTO.
