COVID-19 Dashboard
The Winnetka Public Schools #36 COVID-19 Dashboard UPDATED WEEKLY 2022-2023
Health & Safety Protocols
The most recent update from the CDC emphasizes the significance of mitigations like vaccination, boosters, and treatments and pulls back on previously recommended mitigations like universal masking and social distancing.
The Winnetka Public Schools have not enforced universal masking since February 7, 2022.
The Winnetka Public Schools eliminated the exclusion of close contacts and contact tracing as of February 7, 2022.
Our most current guidance comes from the portion of the Illinois Department of Public Health Exclusion Guide that refers to isolation following a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 for 5 days from the onset of symptoms. Per this guidance, we will require that a person who has a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 is isolated away from school for 5 days from the onset of symptoms (with the first day of the onset of symptoms considered to be Day 0).
Based on current guidance, masks will not be enforced; however, if a staff member or student chooses to wear one, they certainly may.
Based on current guidance, there will be no exclusion of close contacts nor contact tracing in our schools.

Religious Exemption Requirement
Religious Exemption - requires the filing of a signed statement explaining the objections to physical exam, health screenings, and/or immunizations on religious grounds. General philosophical or moral reluctance will not provide a sufficient basis for exemption. In case of disease outbreak, the student must be excluded from school. One's "physician" must also sign this document.
