  • Prepare, Envision, Inquire, Design, Launch, Succeed

  • Launching a New Strategic Plan for The Winnetka Public Schools

    Coming June 2021

The District’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan sunset in June 2020. In March 2020, the District initiated its current Strategic Planning process, starting with defining a Portrait of a Graduate, to effectively communicate our shared vision and guide the priorities in in the plan.

Over the course of the past year, a group of stakeholders including students, educators, and community members has collaborated to determine the Portrait of a Graduate including:

    • What are the hopes, aspirations, and dreams that our community has for our students?
    • What are the skills and habits of mind that our students need for success in this rapidly changing and complex world?
    • What are the implications for the learning experiences we provide in The Winnetka Public Schools?

Throughout the winter and spring, the Portrait of a Graduate will inform the Strategic Planning process. District administration looks forward to presenting the recommended Strategic Plan to the School Board for approval in June 2021.

Who has served on our Strategic Planning Teams?

  • People working at a table.

How can community members get involved in the Strategic Planning process?

Please note that a survey will be shared via email and District social media seeking community input in April.
