In order to serve as a teacher, school support personnel, or an administrator in the state of Illinois at a public or recognized non-public school, an individual must obtain a PEL. A PEL must be endorsed in one of the following areas:

If you currently hold a comparable out-of-state license, please refer to the ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) for instructions on how to obtain a Professional Educator’s License (PEL).

- 3 K-4 elementary schools (Crow Island, Greeley and Hubbard Woods Schools)
- 2 middle schools (serving students in grades 5-6 at The Skokie School and grades 7-8 at Carleton Washburne School)
