2022 General Program Information

  • We are excited to plan for a traditional Adventures in Learning (AIL) summer program following a two-year hiatus.  The health and safety of our students and staff remain our highest priority, and the Adventures in Learning Summer 2022 program options will adhere to the District’s mitigation plans, currently outlined in the "Return to School Guide 2021-2022" on the District website (www.winnetka36.org). These guidelines will be revised to reflect updates to procedures and protocols as needed.

The General Program is designed for students entering 2nd grade through 8th grade and will be held at the Skokie School. Classes are held Monday - Friday, 8:50 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. The student’s day is divided into four class periods. You must register for all four periods to take part in the Adventures program.

    • Period 1: 8:50 - 9:30
    • Period 2: 9:35 - 10:15
    • Period 3: 10:20 - 11:00
    • Period 4: 11:05 - 11:45

The program offers a wide variety of courses that can be viewed through our courses tab above. Please note that the grade level for each course refers to the grade students will be entering in September 2022. Please study the course catalog with your child. Your child will choose four separate classes to enjoy throughout their morning.

Choice is important to his/her satisfaction in the learning process.

A welcome email message will be sent in June and will include instructions about The Skokie School use, parking, and classroom assignment. Please use your preferred email address when registering your child, as the welcome materials are no longer mailed.
