Kindergarten and New Student Registration Open for 2021-2022 School Year
Registration for new students is now open for the 2021-2022 school year.
The Winnetka Public Schools serves students in Kindergarten through the eighth grade. Kindergarten through fourth grade students attend Crow Island School, Greeley School and Hubbard Woods School. Fifth and sixth grade students attend The Skokie School and seventh and eighth grade students attend Carleton Washburne School. We are delighted that you are considering enrolling your child in the District.
The Winnetka Public Schools Board approved new elementary school attendance boundaries at its meeting on October 22, 2019, to form a long-term solution to address the enrollment imbalance in the District. These new boundaries are effective immediately for students newly registering. For more information on redistricting, click here. To check an address for School Boundary Assignments, click here. To our kindergarten familes, the District began offering Extended Day Kindergarten in 2017-2018, continuing our commitment to play-based early childhood programming. The Registration process is completed in four steps:
- Complete the following new student registration forms online.
- Provide proof of residency. Click here to view the list of documents that will meet these requirements. For your convenience residency documents may be uploaded during online registration.
- Provide the original or certified copy of your child(ren)'s birth certificate and a parent photo ID. Scanned copies or snapshots of these documents may be uploaded during online registration or can be submitted in-person at the District Office by appointment. Please contact the District Registrar at (847) 446-9400 or via email email@example.com for more information.
- Next spring you will receive an email from the District with a link to your child’s registration. You will be asked to review the information provided in the past, answer additional questions, pay student fees, and sign up for transportation and before/after-school care at that time. Registration information will be sent to the student’s primary email and home address.
