All five Winnetka Public Schools have again received Academic Excellence Awards from the Illinois State Board of Education. To qualify, 90% of students in each school must have met or exceeded state standards in both reading and mathematics for three consecutive years. Only 438 schools--or just over 10%--in the state received such recognition this year. District 36 schools have been named to the Academic Honor Roll for the past seven years.
