Dungeons and Dragons Club When: Wednesdays after school Time: 3:30 – 5:00 Dungeons and Dragons is a role-playing game set in a realm similar to that of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Members will have the opportunity to create a character using dice, the Player’s Handbook, and their imaginations. Ms. Halpern-Cordell, the Resource Center Director, will teach the game basics, leading players through adventures where they will have to make decisions based on teamwork, logic and creativity. Club members are encouraged, but not required, to purchase their own Player’s Handbook and set of gaming dice. Breakfast with Degrassi When: Friday mornings Time: 7:55 – 8:20 Start your day the Degrassi way! Join Ms. Halpern-Cordell in the Resource Center for breakfast and an episode of the groundbreaking television show, Degrassi: The Next Generation. After each episode we will discuss some of the important and complicated issues the program tackles. After School Special When: Tuesdays and Thursdays after school Time: 3:30 – 5:00 Need homework help after school? Come to After School Special for a place to do your homework and get help if needed. Or unwind with some board games and conversation. |
