Science

The science curriculum at Greeley seeks to solidify and enhance children's natural sense of wonder. Scientific principles and process skills such as exploring, observing and comparing are introduced in Kindergarten and reinforced and expanded upon throughout the elementary years. This concept of revisiting insures success and helps to reiterate the fact that every child can be a "scientist".

The beauty of science is that there are always questions to be answered and the children can be the ones who are empowered to answer them. We love to have lively discussions and encouraging arguments in class that allow us to take our thinking to a deeper level in order to gain a better understanding of the world around us. The essential principles of science are basic and easily mastered by each student, but the possibilities are endless as to how far each individual chooses to take that knowledge.
