In fourth grade, students at Greeley take on more responsibility for their learning. They experience different historical periods through the reading and social studies units and are able to make decisions on how to showcase their learning. Greeley fourth graders participate in the Everyday Math program, which includes many hands-on experiences and incorporates high-level thinking. Our science curriculum is rich and inquiry-based. One of the highlights of fourth grade is our overnight adventure at the Snake Road Adventure Center. Students challenge themselves through team building and personal reflection. The students come back with a much stronger sense of self and their place as the leaders of the school.
Studies include: Immigration, The Underground Railroad, and The Ancient Americas, specifically the Mayan culture.
