Kinetic Wellness Update

Over the next few weeks, we will introduce yoga in Kinetic Wellness. An outside provider (Yoga Bash) will be joining us to teach and explore yoga for kids. The focus of this unit is to help the children build upon the social and emotional foundation already established at Crow Island. Yoga Bash will not only help build strength, flexibility and coordination, but will also help teach students how yoga contributes to a healthy lifestyle. As many of you know, yoga teaches stress management and breathing techniques, and is a great way to build confidence and self-esteem through movement. We are excited to try this new unit given all the benefits we believe it will offer to the kids.
Greeley School recently piloted this program and has found it to deliver successful results. We are moving forward with their recommendation and look forward to offering this exciting new opportunity for your children. We feel it will be a positive, creative, non-competitive activity for students of all ages. Most of all we are excited to be offering a new alternative to traditional fitness techniques, providing a new experience for your children and continuing to build on the strength of our KW program. Please be sure to ask your child about yoga and have them strike their favorite pose for you at home.
As always, thank you for your support.
