This is an exciting year for District 36, as we welcome our new Superintendent, Dr. Mary Herrmann, and as we embark on the first phase of a two-year building program at Greeley and Washburne Schools. In spite of the severe weather at the end of the summer, we are anticipating holding close to the construction schedule, finishing the addition at Greeley in the spring and Washburne in the summer of 2008. Phase II, in 2008-09, will be interior renovations and reconfigurations of the entries at those two schools.

We encourage you to learn more about our district not only through our website, but by attending one of our monthly Board meetings, a teacher-run Winnetka Parent Institute seminar or a Central PTO program (these programs are open to all Winnetka residents). Our success as an educational system depends upon the involvement and support of our parents and community members.
